Neoprocoela edentatus
Taxonomy
Neoprocoela edentatus was named by Schaeffer (1949). Its type specimen is A.M.N.H. No. 3428, a partial skeleton (partial skeleton consisting of skull, vertebral column, and proximal portion of left forearm), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Crater Lake Beds - Scarritt Pocket, which is in a Chattian crater lake conglomerate/sandstone in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.
It was recombined as Bufo edentatus by Tihen (1962).
