Taxonomy
Costaclymenia was named by Schindewolf (1920) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fame-m]. It is not extant. Its type is Goniatites binodosus. It is the type genus of Costaclymeniidae.
It was assigned to Clymeniida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Costaclymeniidae by Bogoslovsky (1981), Korn (2006).
