Finiclymenia was named by Price and Korn (1989) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fame-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1042]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Clymeniida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Gonioclymeniidae by Korn (2006).
