Flexiclymenia was named by Czarnocki (1989) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fame-m Sepkoski's reference number: 1042]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Clymeniida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Genuclymeniinae by Korn (2006).
