Defordia defuncta
Taxonomy
Defordia defuncta was named by King (1943). Its type specimen is AMNH 25229 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM705a, Hess Ranch, Glass Mountains, which is in a Kungurian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Skinner Ranch Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Defordia.
