Bunostegos akokanensis
Taxonomy
Bunostegos akokanensis was named by Sidor et al. (2003). Its type specimen is MNN-MOR72, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ibadanane Area II, which is in a Changhsingian floodplain mudstone/sandstone in the Moradi Formation of Niger. It is the type species of Bunostegos.
