Taxonomy
Bollandoceras was named by Bisat (1952) [Sepkoski's age data: C Vise-l C Vise-u Sepkoski's reference number: 304,954]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Goniatitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Maxigoniatitidae by Korn et al. (1999), Korn (2006), Furnish et al. (2009), Korn and Sudar (2016).
