Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
J. Kříž 2005Copenychia with slightly opisthocline shells having prosogyrate umbones located slightly towards the posterior end of shell. Wing-like structure developed in posterior part. Outer surface sculpture formed by numerous distinct and narrow radial ribs (more than 80), and by narrower radial gutters than in Copenychia franta. Radial ribs are commonly subdivided by a shallow gutter into two halves. The number of radial ribs increases irregularly during growth of shell by intercalation. Radial sculpture is combined with irregularly spaced indistinct growth bands more prominent in ventral and anterior part of the shell. Hinge line straight.
