Aperispirifer wairakiensis

Taxonomy
Neospirifer wairakiensis was named by Waterhouse (1964). Its type specimen is NZGS BR482 and is a mold. Its type locality is GS6323, east tributary of Letham Burn (D44/f9672), which is in a Roadian marine horizon in the Letham Formation of New Zealand.

It was recombined as Aperispirifer wairakiensis by Waterhouse (1968), Waterhouse (1982), Parfrey (1988), Waterhouse (2004).
