Diagnosis
Reference | Diagnosis | |
---|---|---|
M. F. Ivakhnenko 1973 | A very small diadectid (maximum length of skull reaching 6 cm). Judging by the structure of the maxilla, skull shape does not differ appreciably from that of the genus Diadectes. Palatine is very narrow relative to the maxilla, but it has the semicircular form of plate characteristic of diadectids, overhanging the vomers. Bases of teeth are heavily transversely flattened and obliquely arranged. Crowns of teeth are dilated and the bases are submerged in the bone, although their walls are weakly separated from the bone. Crown surfaces bear a marginal cusp and a longitudinal depression; median cusp verv weakly developed. |
