Pseudoparalegoceras was named by Miller (1934) [Sepkoski's age data: C Bash-u C Mosc-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Pseudoparalegoceratidae.
It was assigned to Goniatitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Pseudoparalegoceratidae by Korn (2006) and Furnish et al. (2009).
