Taxonomy
Pseudovidrioceras was named by Ruzhencev (1936) [Sepkoski's age data: P Guad-l Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is not extant. Its type is Vidrioceras girtyi.

It was assigned to Goniatitida by Sepkoski (2002); to Marathonitinae by Bogoslovskaya (1990), Leonova (2002), Korn (2006); and to Marathonitidae by Furnish et al. (2009).
