Taxonomy
Anasirenites was named by Mojsisovics (1893) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Carn-u Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Anasirenites ekkehardi.

It was assigned to Trachyceratidae by Spath (1951); to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Sirenitinae by Tozer (1981), Lukeneder and Lukeneder (2014).
