Anatibetites was named by von Mojsisovics (1896) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Nori-m Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant.

It was reranked as Tibetites (Anatibetites) by von Mojsisovics (1896).

It was assigned to Tibetites by von Mojsisovics (1896); to Tibetitidae by Spath (1951), Tozer (1981); and to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002).
