Taxonomy
Polypora kropotkini was named by Morozova (1970). Its type specimen is PIN 2210/320 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bolshoy Mongugay Stream, Primorye, which is in a Capitanian marine horizon in the Barabash Formation of the Russian Federation.
