Cassidaria striatula was named by Bellardi and Michelotti (1840) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; Italy. COMMENTS: Originally named by Bonelli, 1825; unpublished.]. It is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Galeodosconsia.
It was recombined as Galeodosconsia striatula by Sacco (1890); it was recombined as Sconsia striatula by Beu (2008).
