Dittmarites was named by Mojsisovics (1893) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Carn-l Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant.

It was reranked as Arpadites (Dittmarites) by von Mojsisovics (1896) and Mojsisovics (1896).

It was assigned to Arpadites by von Mojsisovics (1896) and Mojsisovics (1896); to Arpaditidae by Spath (1951); to Arpaditinae by Tozer (1981); and to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002).
