Taxonomy
Orbiculoidea qinglongensis was named by Liao (1980). Its type specimen is NIGP 43373 and is a mold. Its type locality is Zhongying Section XG-20, Qinglong County, which is in a Wuchiapingian coastal siliciclastic in China.
