Taxonomy
Eoaraxoceras was named by Spinosa et al. (1970) [Sepkoski's age data: P Guad-u Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. Its type is Eoaraxoceras ruzhencevi.

It was assigned to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); to Araxoceratinae by Korn (2006); and to Araxoceratidae by Spinosa et al. (1970), Leonova (2002), Zhou (2017).
