Grambergia was named by Popov (1961) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Anis-l Sepkoski's reference number: 302].

It was assigned to Hungaritidae by McLearn (1969); to Longobarditinae by Tozer (1981) and Tozer (1994); and to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002).
