Taxonomy
Biplica miniplicata was named by Popenoe (1957). Its type specimen is UCLA 27754, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCLA Loc. 3313, Deer Valley, which is in a Maastrichtian marine horizon in the Deer Valley Formation of California.
