Taxonomy
Menuites sanadai was named by Matsumoto (1984). Its type specimen is GK. H5969, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loc. T5011 - Uttsu [Yezo Gp], which is in a Campanian marine sandstone in Japan.
