Knoxosaurus niteckii

Taxonomy
Knoxosaurus niteckii was named by Olson (1962). Its type specimen is CNHM (FMNH) UR 824, a maxilla (partial maxilla with two canine and two postcanine teeth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality KAC (Lower Flowerpot Shale), which is in a Kungurian/Roadian fluvial claystone/sandstone in the San Angelo Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Knoxosaurus.
