Polymeres demetarum
Taxonomy
Polymeres demetarum was named by Murchison (1839). Its type specimen is BGS Geol. Soc. Coll. 6960, a partial shell (phragmocone), and it is a cast. Its type locality is Road cut at Roman Rd., Pensarn, which is in a Moridunian offshore mudstone in the Ogof Hen Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Polymeres.
