Taxonomy
Ammonites perezianus was named by Whiteaves (1876). Its type specimen is GSC 5007, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Cleoniceras (Grycia) perezianum by McLearn (1972), Alabushev (1995).
