Corviconodon montanensis
Taxonomy
Corviconodon montanensis was named by Cifelli et al. (1998). Its type specimen is OMNH 33457, a mandible (part of right mandible with distal root of last premolar (p4?), mesial root and distal half of m1, m2-3, roots of m5, and m5 in early eruption), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cloverly (OMNH V920), which is in an Albian/Cenomanian terrestrial horizon in the Cloverly Formation of Montana. It is the type species of Corviconodon.
