Taxonomy
Ammonites striatisulcatus was named by d'Orbigny (1841). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.R00622, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Macroscaphites striatisulcatus by Renz (1982), Klein et al. (2007) and Bersac and Bert (2019).
