Taxonomy
Ammonites deverianus was named by d'Orbigny (1841). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Romaniceras deveriai by Reyment (1955); it was recombined as Romaniceras (Romaniceras) deverianum by Renz (1982) and Chancellor et al. (1994); it was recombined as Romaniceras deverianum by Matsumoto and Skwarko (1993); it was recombined as Romaniceras (Romaniceras) deverianus by Wright et al. (1996).
