Taxonomy
Acanthoceras pseudolyelli was named by Parona and Bonarelli (1897). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Lyelliceras pseudolyelli by Spath (1930), Benavides-Caceres (1956), Latil (1995) and Kennedy and Klinger (2008).
