Galaticeras is a genus. It is not extant. Its type is Galaticeras harpoceratoides.
It was assigned to Phylloceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); to Discamphiceratinae by Blau (1998), Meister and Friebe (2003); to Bouhamidoceratinae by Sarih et al. (2007); to Galaticeratinae by Geczy and Meister (2007); and to Ectocentritinae by Hoffmann (2010).
