Thrinaxodon liorhinus

Taxonomy
Thrinaxodon liorhinus was named by Seeley (1894). Its type specimen is BMNH R 511, a skull (complete skull with lower jaw), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Thaba Nchu Commonage, Lystrosaurus Assemblage Zone, which is in an Induan/Olenekian terrestrial horizon in South Africa. It is the type species of Thrinaxodon.
