Taxonomy
Jeletzkytes criptonodosus was named by Riccardi (1983). Its type specimen is GSC 67104, a shell, and it is a mold. Its type locality is GSC Loc. 10374, Frenchman River [Belanger Mbr, Bearpaw Fm], which is in a Campanian marine shale in the Bearpaw Shale Formation of Canada.
