Taxonomy

Ammonites petrocoriensis was named by Coquand (1859). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Montignac, which is in a Coniacian carbonate limestone in France.

It was recombined as Forresteria (Harleites) petrocoriensis by Kennedy (1984), Kennedy (1995).

Synonyms

Ammonites alstadenensis was named by Schluter (1876).

It was synonymized subjectively with Forresteria (Harleites) petrocoriensis by Kennedy (1984), Kennedy (1995).
Reesideoceras gallicum was named by Basse (1947). It is the type species of Reesideoceras.

It was synonymized subjectively with Forresteria (Harleites) petrocoriensis by Kennedy (1984).
Barroisiceras haueri was named by Hyatt (1903).

It was synonymized subjectively with Forresteria (Harleites) petrocoriensis by Kennedy (1984).
Barroisia haberfellneri harlei was named by de Grossouvre (1894). It is a 3D body fossil. It is the type subspecies of Barroisiceras (Harleites).

It was recombined as Harleites harlei by Basse (1947), Renz (1982); it was recombined as Forresteria (Harleites) harlei by Reyment (1954); it was synonymized subjectively with Forresteria (Harleites) petrocoriensis by Kennedy (1984).
