Taxonomy
Ammonites petrocoriensis was named by Coquand (1859). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Montignac, which is in a Coniacian carbonate limestone in France.

It was recombined as Forresteria (Harleites) petrocoriensis by Kennedy (1984), Kennedy (1995).
