Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
F. Wei et al. 2021Thin-walled, tubular to conical keratose sponges, branched or unbranched, with entire double-layered skeleton without spicules. The skeleton is composed of fibres that have fused to form a continuous framework. The endosomal meshes are typically cellular, hexagonal or irregularly polygonal. The dermal layer is hexagonal, pentagonal, subrectangular or irregular, supported by radial fibres. The fibres can be originally organic or (partly) siliceous.
