Taxonomy
Ammonites delawarensis was named by Morton (1830). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Mortoniceras delawarensis by Weller (1907); it was recombined as Menabites (Delawarella) delawarensis by Kennedy (1986), Cobban and Kennedy (1992), Cobban and Kennedy (1992), Kennedy and Cobban (1993).
