Taxonomy
Ammonites vanuxemi was named by Morton (1830). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Submortoniceras vanuxemi by Reeside (1962); it was recombined as Menabites (Delawarella) vanuxemi by Cobban and Kennedy (1992), Cobban and Kennedy (1992), Kennedy and Cobban (1993), Ifrim et al. (2013).
