Streblochondria sueroi was named by González (1969). Its type specimen is MLP 11082, a valve (Right valve, external mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Cerro Mina, fossiliferous concretions, Sierra de Languineo, which is in a Bashkirian/Moscovian marine siliciclastic in Argentina.
