Acanthoceras kallesi was named by Zázvorka (1958). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Romaniceras (Romaniceras) kallesi by Amédro and Hancock (1985), Chancellor et al. (1994), Kennedy and Gale (2016).
