It was assigned to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); to Bochianitidae by Klein et al. (2007); and to Bochianitinae by Cantu-Chapa (1962), Imlay and Jones (1970), Klinger and Kennedy (1979), Reboulet (1996), Lukeneder (2004), Alsen (2006), Ovando-Figueroa et al. (2024).
