Streptorhynchus pectiniformis was named by Davidson (1862).
It was recombined as Streptorhynchus (Kiangsiella) pectiniformis by Reed (1931); it was recombined as Meekella pectiniformis by Liao and Meng (1986); it was recombined as Kiangsiella pectiniformis by Huang (1933), Reed (1944), Licharew and Kotlyar (1978), Lee and Gu (1980), Chen and Liao (2007).
It was recombined as Streptorhynchus (Kiangsiella) pectiniformis by Reed (1931); it was recombined as Meekella pectiniformis by Liao and Meng (1986); it was recombined as Kiangsiella pectiniformis by Huang (1933), Reed (1944), Licharew and Kotlyar (1978), Lee and Gu (1980), Chen and Liao (2007).
