Plinthogomphodon herpetairus

Taxonomy
Plinthogomphodon herpetairus was named by Sues et al. (1999). Its type specimen is UNC 15576, a partial skull (Partial snout), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dromicosuchus Quarry, which is in a Carnian/Norian fluvial sandstone/mudstone in North Carolina. It is the type species of Plinthogomphodon.
