Taxonomy
Lobatus vokesae was named by Landau et al. (2008). Its type specimen is NHMW 2007z0161/0001, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cercado Formation (unspecified localities), which is in a Tortonian coastal siliciclastic in the Cercado Formation of the Dominican Republic.
