Taxonomy

Clydoniceras is a genus. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Clydoniceratidae.

It was assigned to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); and to Clydoniceratidae by Arkell (1952), Arkell et al. (1957), Besnosov and Mitta (1993) and Dietze and Hostettler (2016).
