Polinices (Lunatia) vicanus was named by Olsson (1928). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jabonillal [Restin Fm], which is in a Bartonian coastal shale in the Restin Formation of Peru.
It was recombined as Euspira vicanus by Hendy et al. (2008).
