Taxonomy
Crucilobiceras was named by Buckman (1920) [Sepkoski's age data: J Sine-u Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Crucilobiceras crucilobatum.

It was assigned to Xipheroceratinae by Bremer (1965); to Eoderoceratidae by Blau (1998) and Blau et al. (2000); to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); and to Eoderoceratinae by Frebold (1970) and Howarth (2013).
