Taxonomy
Neochonetes (Huangichonetes) geniculatus was named by Campi and Shi (2005). Its type specimen is NMV P309550a,b, a valve (Ventral valve internal and external molds), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Chuanmu section, Bed 174, Huaying Mountains, which is in a Changhsingian shallow subtidal limestone in the Changxing Formation of China.
