Taxonomy
Neochonetes (Zhongyingia) linshuiensis was named by Campi and Shi (2005). Its type specimen is NMV P309559, a valve (Dorsal valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chuanmu Section, Bed 172, Huaying Mountains, which is in a Changhsingian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Changxing Formation of China.
