Dipoloceras (Dipoloceroides) was named by Breistroffer (1947). Its type is Ammonites delaruei.
It was synonymized subjectively with Mojsisoviczia by Wright et al. (1996); it was reranked as Dipoloceroides by Owen (1999), Sepkoski (2002) and Kennedy and Klinger (2012).
It was assigned to Dipoloceras by Breistroffer (1947); to Mojsisovicziinae by Owen (1999); to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); and to Mojsisovicsiinae by Kennedy and Klinger (2012).
