Taxonomy
Waagenoconcha abnakensis was named by Fantini Sestini (1966). Its type specimen is Milan Univ. (63) IA-2877oa, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Abnak I, (63) IA-2877, Elburz Mountains, which is in a Visean marine limestone in the Geirud Formation of Iran.
