Phthanoncoceras ellipticum
Taxonomy
Cyrtoceras ellipticum was named by Lossen (1860). It is not extant. Its type specimen is MB C.873, a shell. Its type locality is Erratic block from Żary, Lower Silesia, which is in a Lasnamagi shallow subtidal limestone in the Folkeslunda Limestone Formation of Poland.
It was recombined as Phtanoncoceras ellipticum by Dzik and Kiselev (1995); it was recombined as Phthanoncoceras ellipticum by Kröger and Mutvei (2005).
